got this guitar to go with the wii guitaqr hero had gotten grandkids for christmas, they have really enjoyed being able to play against each other that is when they can get one of the guitars away from their mom

I actually found this when I did a search for Rockband Guitar. When it arrived, the box said it would only work for guitar hero 3. What a waste of my time and money! I suppose I can just buy guitar hero 3 now. The item description should have been more clear.

some of the reviews i read about this said it only works on guitar hero III, that may have been true when it came out (it dosent work on guitar hero II) but it does work on everything after that. ie it does work on gh aerosmith and gh world tour. works fine, ive played several hours with it and my 2 boys (8 and 11) have played a lot with it also, havent noticed any problems whatsoever. i recomend it :)
