Duel Glow Light Sabers January 8, 2009 pws I've got two boys (12 and 7) who love Star Wars. I bought the light sabers to go along with their two Star Wars games (Force Unleashed and Clone Wars). At first they had a lot of fun with them but now I think it's just too much hassle to put the controller into the light saber so they usually play without them. I could see them using them more when friends come over.
Not so great January 8, 2009 Deborah A. Schickler (Jacksonville, FL) The quality isn't the best. My son would prefer to play just using the wii remote, he said it slows him down and is kinda of bulky.
Yes, it is cheap! January 7, 2009 cybershopper1 (Washington, UT) These were considerably cheaper than other sabers, but I took a chance. When they came, they look pretty cool, but one didn't work... so we had to send them back.. If you are getting them for a gift, try them out before giving them to the recipient..
Great concept Poorly implemented January 6, 2009 Melissa (Portland, Or USA) The idea of a light-saber that works with Wii Star Wars games is fantastic, unfortunately these simply don't work. These light-sabers block the Wii signal making them worthless. If the signal went through I would still be dissapointed with the cheap, brittle plastic construction and difficulty getting the Wiimote in and out. These aren't as well made as the knock-off light-sabers you can pick up at the dollar store.
Kind of disappointed January 6, 2009 jaret (Colorado) The sabers look cool, and the game starts out fun, but it doesn't take long to realize that the game is actually easier without them. The weight and extra bulk on the controller makes it harder to grip after a couple of duels. I also couldn't help but repeatedly pressing the pause button when playing. Even though my son really likes them, he doesn't like to play the game with them either. Note: I gave this as a gift along with the Star Wars Clone Wars Light Saber Duel game, and these were a perfect fit for that game, just difficult to handle.
